Price & location were excellent as well as the staff being very friendly & accomodating
Room was not in the best of repair. Bathroom was extremely small and difficult.
The search for the best hotel on Hampton Beach continues, but the Tides was a decent place. A block from the Ocean, Nice greeting and the guy at the desk was great. Room was clean although in need of maintenance.
"Finish Work" was not in the carpenters vocabulary, however, as the bathroom looked like a work in progress. Everything worked but it looked like it was a weekend away from done. Thumb tacks holding up some of the ceiling tiles in the room itself was a bit scary; Footsteps from above could be heard clearly. After trying for 6 years to find a nice hotel besides the $200.00 plus a night Ashworth by the Sea, our search will continue. However, we have stayed in much worse in Hampton Beach and the positives outweigh the negatives here.
$160 for a regular Motel room is a bit expensive. No breakfast.
The staff and the person who cleaned the rooms were very accomodating. They answered every question we had with a smile.
Good location,fair rates,off street parking,location
The owner was friendly and approachable and very fair. He let us park our vehicle in his lot the day we checked out w/out charging us an extra fee for the parking space. Parking at the beach is at a premium, that was a generosity he did not have to extend.
For the price and location was awesome!!
Location was good. Bed was comfortable.
No frills, no coffeemaker. Toilet was between two walls with barely enough room for my shoulders.
It was a very large room i was quite shocked. Very clean and had microwave and fridge in the room.
It was clean, convenient to the Beach, lparking was assigned and enclosed.
Small dislike, they need hooks in the bathroom for towels.
the parking,,,I have a brand new car and the parking lot is smalllll....almost stuffed us is...
Excellent location. Desk staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and taken care of while we were out - not disturbance by cleaning staff.
I'm tall and the room ceiling was very low - I had to walk around with my neck bent when I was in the room. Toilet refill mechanism was broken so I had to fix it after each flush - probably could have had management take care of it but didn't take the time to report it - not that big of a problem I guess.
The rug was stained and old. It would be nice to have it replaced. The old sofa had a smell to it. There was no ice cube holder or hair dryer.
The owners are very nice. They are very accommodating. I arrived quite early in the hotel but I was able to check in right away even though the check in time wasn't until about an hour later. I was also allowed to park my car for additional time after check out just to do my last shopping nearby. The service over all is excellent.
We stayed on the first floor and the people above us seemed to be active at night when all I want to do is sleep. I can hear everything which was the only downside of my whole stay there.
Sam was extremely helpful and friendly.
It wasn't as close to where we wanted to be as indicated by Goggle Maps. The beach really wasn't our style, we prefered Newburyport and Plum Island beach.
